CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Bangor City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m., August 26, 2024, at City Hall, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, on the following bond orders: - Proposed issuance of $4,191,000 of the City's general obligation bonds to finance the City's FY25 CIP, including miscellaneous equipment, vehicles, street and sidewalk improvements, building improvements and other municipal improvements. - Proposed issuance of $2,000,000 of the City's general obligations bonds for a Public Safety Training Facility, subject to approval of the voters of the City of Bangor. - Proposed issuance of $10,115,731 of the City's general obligation bonds to finance air quality improvements for the William S. Cohen and James F. Doughty Schools, curtain wall repair for the Bangor High School, and roof structure improvements for the Mary Snow School. All persons who desire to be heard on the proposed borrowing are invited to attend the public hearing. At or following said public hearing, the City Council may add, remove or otherwise revise the list of projects and may increase the foregoing amount of bonds by up to 10%. The City Council will consider action authorizing the bonds immediately following the public hearing. The Public Hearing will also be broadcast live on YouTube and Zoom. For additional information or assistance in accessing the broadcast, please visit the City's website at www.bangormaine.gov, and choose the Public Meetings link on the left-hand side of the home page or contact the City at 207-992-4268. All persons who desire to be heard on the proposed borrowing have the ability to participate via Zoom, the link for the meeting is included within each Public Meetings & Event Notice on the City of Bangor's homepage once the agenda is published. Copies of the proposed orders will be on file and may be reviewed at the office of the City Clerk prior to said public hearing either in person or by calling 207-992-4220. Lisa J.
