Branch Lake Community Forest Expansion

Ellsworth, Hancock County
In accordance with 5 M.R.S.A 6200 et seq., the Land for Maine's Future Board will vote on a proposal to allocate funds for the Town of Ellsworth's purchase of lands identified as part of Ellsworth Tax Map 74, Lot 2 and can be accessed on foot via the Branch Lake Community Forest or off the Woodfield Road. The land is owned by Herbert C. Haynes, Jr., and will be managed by the Town of Ellsworth.
Public comment on this acquisition will be accepted at the LMF's Board meeting on September 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Deering Building, Room 101, 90 Blossom Lane, Augusta, ME 04333. This meeting will be in person and online; a link will be posted at https://www.maine.gov/dacf/lmf/agendas.shtml. Written comments on the proposal will be accepted until 4:30 PM on September 9, 2024.
