Hearings on Governor's Nominations

Nominees: Matthew J. Garside of New Gloucester; Nina A. Fisher of Farmingdale to the Maine Turnpike Authority, Board of Directors
The Authority, established by P & S 1941, Ch. 69, consists of the Commissioner of Transportation and 6 appointed members, who serve 6-year terms. Statutory powers of the Authority include constructing, maintaining, and operating a toll turnpike from York to Augusta. Members of the Authority receive legislative per diem and expenses for attendance at authorized meetings.
