The 2016 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program provides funding for law enforcement agencies in order to support all areas of the criminal justice system. The County of Penobscot, and City of Bangor are eligible to jointly apply for a total of $23,948.00 in funding to assist their respective law enforcement agencies. A public hearing has been scheduled for July 18th, 2016, at 5:15 p.m. in the 3rd floor Council Chambers at Bangor City Hall, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, Maine. Members of the public who reside in any of the above jurisdictions are invited to attend and provide comment on this Grant opportunity.
