Please take notice that Tylor Perry, owner of C &K Variety located at 8 Billings Road in Hermon, ME 04401 (207-848-2402) is intending to file a Variance Application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) pursuant to the provisions of 38 M.R.S. § 1394 for the siting of a facility near a well head protection zone, on or about August 21, 2022.
The application is for the installation of an underground storage tank (UST) facility, including two underground storage tanks and product piping/dispensers at the proposed convenience store and gas station development for C&K Variety at 8 Billings Road in Hermon, ME 04401.
A [font=font36821]Public Informational Meeting[/font] will be held at the Hermon Town Offices, located at 333 Billings Road, Hermon, ME 04401 between the hours of 06:00 PM and 07:00 PM EST Thursday, August 4, 2022. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about this project to any interested parties. Interested persons may request that the Board of Environmental Protection assume jurisdiction or that the Department hold a public hearing on the variance application. The request must be in writing and must be received by the Department, no later than twenty (20) days after the application is accepted by the Department as complete for processing. Written comment from interested parties will be accepted throughout the processing of the application.
The application and supporting documentation are available for review at the Department offices in Augusta, located in the Ray Building on the AMHI Complex off Hospital Street during normal working hours. A copy of the application and supporting documentation may also be seen at the municipal office in Hermon, Maine.
