Notice is hereby given that the Jackson Laboratory will receive sealed Bids for the Transformer | Switch Gear | Conductor Installation at the Building 250 Ellsworth Expansion, Ellsworth, Maine in accordance with the Invitation to Bid, Bid Form, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings. This project will be funded in part by the Economic Development Administration (EDA# 01-01-14689) and the successful bidder will have to meet all the requirements of the funding agency. Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in the Bidder being determined non-responsive and therefore, not entitled to the award of this contract. Sealed Bids will be received at the Jackson Laboratory Building 250 Site, 21 Kingsland Crossing, Ellsworth, Maine 04605 until 3:00 p.m., Local Time, on Monday, April 10, 2017, and then publicly opened and read aloud. The work shall consist of the following: Installation of a pad mounted switch gear to be Model/Catalog Number 934134-P4-T3-S-L2-M3-O as manufactured by S&C Electric Company (or approved equal); installation of two - three phase transformers to be 60 Hz-2000.0kVA-KNAN 65 AWR FR3 HV 34500GY/19920 125kV BIL LV 480Y/277 30kV BIL 5.73%IZ Cooper Power Series (or approved equal); installation of (3) power conductors consisting of 35Kv 1/0 Copper EPR Tape Shield Power Cables and (1) Bare 4/0 Copper Neutral/Equipment Ground from EMERA installed 8'-10" precast manhole to the installed switch gear; Installation of 3# 1/0 MV-105, 35kV, CU, XPLE and 1# 600v CU. Grd. From the switch gear to each installed transformer vault (3); installation of nine runs of 4-600 KCMIL AL per duct bank from each transformer vault (3) to the building foundation. The Maine Maritime Academy is conducting a competitive bid process for the Leavitt Hall Parking Lot and Paving Phase IIIl project located at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Holmes Heritage Room in the Harold Alfond Student Center at 2:00 p.m. on April 20, 2017. Work under the bid includes paving overlay and full depth construction of asphalt pavement at Maine Maritime Academy. This work includes removing existing pavement and replacing with full depth reconstruction, new full depth construction and trench paving. The work also includes coordination with the Owner's Utility Company in relocating and installing new gas tanks and underground piping. The Owner's Utility Company will perform their work under a separate contract from this project. Pursuant to the federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will hold a public meeting as part of the federal performance evaluation of the Maine Coastal Management Program - a program of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.  The meeting will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Offices of the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission at 297 Bath Road (US Route 1) Wicasset, Maine. The purpose of the meeting is to receive public comments regarding the operation and implementation of the Maine Coastal Management Program. Please take notice that The Jackson Laboratory, 600 Main Street, Bar Harbor ME 04609 (contact: Pat Taber Robbins-Halsted, (207) 288-6580) intends to file a Site Location of Development Law (Site Law) License Amendment application pursuant to 38 M.R.S.A. §§ 481 to 490, and a Natural Resources Protection Act permit application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection pursuant to the provisions of 38 M.R.S.A. §§480-A thru 480-BB on or about March 13, 2017. These applications are to permit the construction of a new parking lot. A request for a public hearing or a request that the Board of Environmental Protection assume jurisdiction over one or more of the applications must be received by the Department in writing, no later than 20 days after the applications are found by the Department to be complete and are accepted for processing. A public hearing may or may not be held at the discretion of the Commissioner or Board of Environmental Protection.
