NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO APPROVE A
GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $2,845,000
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Mount Desert, Maine will meet at the Meeting Room of the Town Hall at 21 Sea Street in Northeast Harbor at 6:30 p.m. on August 19, 2024 to consider the adoption of a resolution to authorize the issuance, delivery and sale of a General Obligation Bond and/or General Obligation Bond Anticipation Note of the Town in the amount of $2,845,000 to a bank or banks chosen by the Board of Selectmen, to finance projects approved by the voters at the 2024 Town Meeting of the Town, including but not limited to a solar photovoltaic project, sidewalk and curbing improvements, parking lot improvements, and sewer improvements. The public is invited to attend. Written comments received before the meeting will be considered.
